MFG Day is Friday, October 4th!
Each year, Macomb County Department of Planning & Economic Development partners with the Macomb Intermediate School District to coordinate a county wide celebration of Manufacturing Day (MFG Day). Since 2014, more than 10,000 students have visited an area manufacturer to see the industry in action and meet people who make things. It is a fantastic opportunity for students to learn about the interesting and well-paying careers. The celebration is supported by an active planning committee comprised of area leaders from industry, education and government.
Join Macomb County by hosting a tour or becoming a sponsor!
MFG Day in Macomb County is made possible through the support of many community partners. Aside from educators who organize school trips and the forward-thinking manufacturers who open their doors, we also rely on sponsorship dollars to offset the expenses associated with this event.
Budgeted expenses include offering reimbursement to district for bus travel, t-shirts for every student, banners for host sites and other promotional materials as well as the costs associated with hosting the subsequent “Careers in Manufacturing” expo planned at Macomb Community College’s Sports & Expo Center on Dec. 4, 2019.
